Start Position:

First String: Wrist below belt, pistol unloaded, and holstered.

Second String: Firing hand on pistol, support hand prepped to receive firing hand.

Third String: Grip established, pistol at the Low Ready.

Procedure:

First String: Upon the start signal, move firing hand to pistol and establish first half of your grip. Move support hand towards pistol, prepared to receive firing hand.

Second String: Upon the start signal, draw pistol and establish the rest of your grip in the Low Ready position.

Third String: Upon the start signal, present the pistol at the target, with your sights aligned on target.


Burkett Reloads are an amazing way to develop your hand speed and index. You're essentially breaking the draw into three separate chunks making it easier to develop each part before putting it all together.
